Pregnancy Getaways for Any Mom

Ask any woman who is or who has ever been pregnant, and they will tell you there are moments where they just want to escape away from everything even if just for a day. While for some, money may be no object, but most people these days are living on a strict budget. Here is a look at some pregnancy getaway ideas that are possible for just about any pregnant woman.

Having a day at a local spa can be a great way to escape from everything. Most cities these days have at least one or two day spas that offer many different packages for people on just about any budget. Here you can get pampered with special treatments such as facials, massages, and special wraps that will leave your skin feeling brand new and you feeling refreshed and ready to get back to the real world! For those who are on a budget just research at least three different locations so you can be sure to get the best deal. Also you will want to call ahead of time and let them know you are pregnant so they can tell you about any deals they may have going on or any special pregnancy massages they might be able to offer you.

Sometimes just a night away even a couple of towns or cities over can be really refreshing. There are many nice hotels that are very affordable that have great amenities such as pools or fine dining. Whether you want a night away alone or with your partner or friend this can be the perfect way to feel like you're getting a vacation without spending a large amount of money. Web sites such as hotels.com and expedia.com are great for helping customers find the best deals on their hotel rooms. Here you can also read other guests' reviews and how they enjoyed the hotel and even what sort of local dining options are available.

Another popular option for pregnant women is a shopping day! Look for the nearest outlet mall and head out for the day. Outlet malls offer a larger selection of stores to choose from and most of them offer HUGE discounts you will not be able to find at you local malls. This is the perfect chance to stock up on any baby items you may not have, maternity clothes or even clothes for after you have the baby.

Last but not least, if the weather permits and you enjoy being outdoors, look for the closest camping sites near you. Camping is a great, inexpensive way for you and your partner or even a good friend to just get away for the weekend. Look into investing in a small air mattress so you are more comfortable in your tent. Many campsites offer fun activities such as mild hiking trails, fishing or even pools. Swimming is the one of the healthiest ways a pregnant woman can exercise and many claim they feel very relaxed and refreshed after a good swim.

Most of these activities can be done for under $200 for a weekend and are ideal for getting you relaxed and ready to meet your new baby!
