Pregnant Ohio Woman Missing, Newborn Baby Found Nearby

Elizabeth Ross
Jessie Davis from Canton, Ohio was last heard from on Wednesday, June 13. She's 26-years-old and 9-months-pregnant. On Monday, June 18, a newborn baby girl was found on the doorstep in Apple Creek, Ohio, about a half hour away. Could the baby be Jessie's, who is due on July 3 and planned to name her baby Chloe? That's what authorities are trying to figure out.

Jessie's mother, Patricia Porter, went to her home on Friday. What she found wasn't good. Patricia found grandson Blake Davis alone and there were also things out of place in the home. When talking to detectives later, the child said, "Mommy was crying. Mommy broke the table. Mommy's in the rug." It's believed that those comments could be connected to the fact that a comforter from a bed is missing from the home.

DNA was taken from the newborn baby and results are pending.

The Stark County Sherriff's Office is asking anyone with any information about Jessie's disappearance to call their tip line at (330) 430-3684, or fill out a form on their website.

This is so horrible. I've heard many stories about this, police are looking at the baby's fathers current wife in the case. I hope it works out well.
