Premature Ejaculation: Don't Let it Call the Shots

If you have any concerns about premature ejaculation you are not alone. Premature ejaculation is a concern for a great deal of men around the world. The causes are known to be both physical and mental. There are ways to increase your control without pills, injections, or embarrassment.

Start by exercising every day. Regular exercise increases your cardiovascular health. A healthy heart means a healthy sex life. Keeping your body in-shape not only helps in terms of health in general, but it is also good for your confidence, which in turn will help ease your mind during a sack session and keep you focused on the task at hand instead of worrying about your body and what your partner thinks.

Be sure to talk to your partner. Keeping them involved will keep your mind pre-occupied. If you want to try something new, be open with your partner about it. Changing positions is good because it lets you refocus and allows a sort of "cool down" period to hold off your excitement. Being open with your partner can eliminate some of the stresses in the bed room, not to mention how much fun you can have trying the new positions together.

Since we're on the topic of your partner...foreplay is a must. Women generally take longer to reach an orgasm than a man does. If you are concerned that you will ejaculate before she is ready, don't worry. This is where foreplay comes in. Help her get to her pleasure point quicker by spending more time on her before the initial penetration. That way when you are ready, she is ready as well.

Remember to breathe. Sometimes all it takes is the sensation from penetration to trigger your ejaculation. Slow yourself down and breathe, let your body take in all the sensations before you begin adding movement and friction. Then slowly build up to a steady pace.

Take small breaks if you feel yourself starting to peak. If your thrusting like crazy, slow your pace to barely moving...it will bring you back down from your peak point and help to prolong your ejaculation. This would be the proper time to tell your partner you'd like to switch positions. When your mind is more focused on pulling off the position, you aren't so focused on your ejaculation, and you are more relaxed.

Kegel exercises are not just for women. They help to strengthen your pelvic muscles. The tightening of these muscles causing you to have greater control of your ejaculation.

Remember, above all, practice makes perfect. If you are too embarrassed to try these control techniques with your partner, try them solo while you are masturbating. What better way to learn to control your breathing, pelvic muscles, and will power? Instead of trying to make it something quick, draw out the process of ejaculation. Learn to notice when you are close to your peak, and learn different ways to bring yourself back down from that peak.

The embarrassment of premature ejaculation is hard for most men to talk about, try not to worry so much, because that could be part of your problem to begin with. Be patient, you can succeed in stopping your ejaculation with a little practice and time.
