There are people who love to cook and have the time to cook and there are those who don't have either. If you love cooking exciting meals and if you have the time to spare, then why don't you turn this talent of yours into a gold mine? You should focus on cooking something that can be prepared in a big quantity without losing any quality, also the food should be tasty when reheated. If you offer this service, then people won't have to eat frozen foods anymore.

To start, settle on a menu. Choose food like a delicious dish of lasagna or yummy potato salad. You can go online and look for simple recipes too if you need to. You can plan menus in advance or on a daily basis. You should have one or two food items a day and fix a reasonable price for them. Distribute the menus to everyone you know and meet regularly. You should definitely include your contact information and whether you will deliver the food yourself or they should come and pick it up.

If you don't make your prices comparable to frozen foods available in super markets, then you won't do well in this business. Giving discounts to families and offering a cheaper price for monthly plans is a good idea to attract customers. If you add bonus items such as cheese or garlic bread, then it will impress your customers into coming back over and over again.

Of course, you should have a time limit for orders. Setting a deadline to order like 2:30 - 3:00 pm should give you enough time to prepare meals for everyone and let you know exactly how much you need to cook.

For clients who might be late to pick up their packages, make sure you keep the food in Styrofoam containers with lids. Having extra large bags handy is also a good idea.

Since you will be cooking for so many people, you might need a Health Permit, so check the health regulations of your state or town. They are easy to obtain though. Inspectors will check your kitchen, your preparing areas and your utensils and you should be good to go. In some cases you might need to get a certified food safety course. But it will be worth it. You will be able to serve the best quality of food.

There might be time when there will be leftovers. Don't worry. Freeze it, and add frozen food to your menu. This will expand your business.

If people love your food, then start immediately and you will get many customers because most people simply don't have the time to cook proper food anymore.
