Preparing for Guests
Company is coming.
Must get ready for them.
Same old routine
When I am not prepared.
Must get ready for them.
Same old routine
When I am not prepared.
Lose some sleep
Over laundry and cleaning.
Who knew that I would be
Mowing late this evening.
Neighbors may wonder
About the late night noise.
Have not time to care
When there are so many chores.
Prepare for tomorrow's meal,
And lunch for myself.
Re-cleaning the bedrooms
For a possible overnight stay.
It sure seems like work
Usually gets in the way.
