Pres. Bush's "I Did Not Have Sexual Relations with that Woman" Moment
Everyone Who was Outraged by Clinton's Lie Should Be Just Plain Pissed-Off at Bush Now
Pres. Bush has now topped Clinton's bald-faced lie by about a thousand degrees. At an uncharacteristic town meeting in which Bush actually allowed questions to be asked by people other than seven year old sons of Republican fundraisers (coincident with the latest poll numbers showing his support now to be roughly equal to his IQ), Pres. Bush fielded a question from a man who shot down all the reasons that Bush had given to justify his terrorist invasion of Iraq, a sovereign country which presented no threat to the US. One of the justifications that the man referred to was Bush's linkage of Iraq and Saddam Hussein to 9/11.
Here was Bush's response: "First, just if I might correct a misperception, I don't think we ever said - at least I know I didn't say that there was a direct connection between September the 11th and Saddam Hussein."
Let us compare this statement with these words written by Pres. Bush and delivered to Congress on March 21, 2003, almost exactly to the day three years prior to the above statment: "The use of armed forces against Iraq is consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations or person who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001."
In addition, in his State of the Union address in January in the months leading to the invasion, Bush connected Saddam Hussein, Iraq and 9/11 within a span of less than ten words on two separate occasions.
Bush continued to link Saddam and 9/11 throughout the months in which he sought support for his terrorist invasion and, in fact, has stopped making that connection speechs only withn the past few months. Vice President Dick Cheney has never stopped making the connection and has even gone further in making a direct connection. Until quite recently, poll results showed that the majority of Americans stilll believed there was a connection between Saddam, Iraq, Bin-Laden and 9/11. We're talking over a hundred million people believing this. They had to have gotten this idea from somewhere.
And yet Bush denies ever making the connection.
Impeachment, anyone?

Post a CommentI agree Pres Bush is the worst pres we have ever had !!
I think everyone who is not an idiot would agree that bush is the worst president we've had.
I find it ridiculous, that we even TRY to compare "oranges to apples", here. I was over in Europe, on business, when the Clinton scandal was being broadcasted IN THIS COUNTRY (USA), and the BBC was making comments on "how utterly pathetic the United States is", for even airing such bullcrap. If we took all the men who received oral sex DURING office hours, all of them would be fired, and IMPEACHED themselves. Although I was diqusted at what Clinton did - I am a married woman with children, whose Hubby makes a 6 figure salary with the DOD - yet, I was embarrassed by what was shown on American Television. Does anyone even bother to wonder WHY the Kennedy affair with Marilyn Monroe, wasnt splashed all over the news media?? It was because back then, this country had at least SOME dignity left, and our "indescretions" weren't aired in public for all the world to see. We are a WEAK, sick, perverted country, and the entire world is now understanding our weaknesses. Yes, Clinton did a
