Here are some ideas for snacks to serve your preschool students when studying bees.

Note: Keep in mind that children younger than one year of age should NEVER eat honey.

Number: 3 because three rhymes with bee and there are 3 letters in the word bee

Fine Motor Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Bees
Lacing: Give each of your preschool students a honey pot shape cut from poster board. The honey pot should have holes punched along the outer edge. Now give each of your students a length of yellow yarn and instruct them to lace the yarn through the holes in the honey pot.
Gross Motor Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Bees
Fly, Fly, Bee!: Play a game of Duck, Duck, Goose with your preschoolers only change it to Fly, Fly, Bee!
Art Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Bees
Yellow and black painting: Give each of your preschool students a large piece of white paper with a bee shape drawn on it. Have them cut the bees out with safety scissors. Let them paint stripes on the bees with yellow and black paint.

Pre-math Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Bees
Set out the letters b, e, e that you have previously cut from felt or laminated construction paper. Put out an example of the word bee for your students to use as a guide. Have them set out the letters, properly spelling the word bee. Instruct your preschool students to count the number of letters in the word bee. Now have your preschool students count out 3 bee shapes to set beneath the 3 lettered word.
Pre-writing Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Bees
For younger students, provide sheets of paper with the letters B and b lightly printed on them. Have the children trace the letters. do the same with the number 3.
For older students, provide an example of the letters B and b and the number 3. Have the students practice writing the letters and number freehand.
Write the word bee on your preschool classroom's white board. Have your preschool students copy the word bee on the white board with yellow and black dry erase markers.
