Dragons are green. Serve green snacks to your preschoolers during your dragons theme. Some ideas include:

Fine Motor Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Dragons

Beading dragon scales: Give each of your preschool students a length of green yarn and several green beads. Have them slip the beads onto the green yarn. Ta da! They are left with a necklace of green dragon scales!

Gross Motor Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Dragons

Knight, Knight, Dragon: Lead your preschool students in a game of Duck, Duck, Goose, only with a theme of knights and dragons. Change the words to Knight, Knight, Dragon. 
Will the knight escape the dragon? Or switch it to Dragon, Dragon, Knight. Will the knight "slay" the dragon?

Art Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Dragons

Dragon art: Give each of your students a piece of white paper on which you have drawn the shape of a dragon without scales. Let your preschool students finger paint the dragons with green paint. Now have them cut out green triangles from green construction paper and glue the scales to the top of the dragons' backs. Lastly, have them draw flames coming from the dragons' mouths with red, orange and yellow crayons.

Pre-math Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Dragons

Set out the letters d-r-a-g-o-n that you have previously cut from felt or laminated construction paper. Put out an example of the word dragon for your students to use as a guide. Have them set out the letters, properly spelling the word dragon. Instruct your preschool students to count the number of letters in the word dragon. Now have your preschool students count out 6 dragon shapes to set beneath the 6 lettered word.

Pre-writing Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Dragons

For younger students, provide sheets of paper with the letters D and d lightly printed on them. Have the children trace the letters. Do the same with the number 6.

For older students, provide an example of the letters D and d and the number 6. Have the students practice writing the letters and number freehand.

Write the word dragon on your preschool classroom's white erase board. Let your students copy the word dragon on the white board with green dry erase markers.
