Your preschool students will probably be exhausted from all of the outdoor games and picnics that you have been having during your Labor Day lesson plan. Let's make one of their art projects simple and enjoyable. For preschoolers, there's nothing much simpler and more enjoyable than coloring pages. Go online and find free coloring pages to print off for your preschool students. Print off coloring pages of picnic scenes and various occupations. Let your students choose which pages to color.

Watermelon slice: Have your preschool students cut out a half circle from red construction paper. Now have them tear small pieces of green construction paper to glue to the curved edge of the half circle as the watermelon rind. Finally, let your preschool students glue either tiny bits of black construction paper or real water melon seeds to the red construction paper. You might choose to have them use black thumbprints as the watermelon seeds.
