Policemen and women are often referred to as our men and women in blue. Serve your preschool students blue snacks. Here are some ideas:

Fine Motor Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Police
Badge: Have your preschool students cut out a star shape from blue construction paper. Then have them write or trace their names on the star.

Police must be in good health in order to protect their communities. Lead your preschool students in some simple exercises such as running in place, pretending to jump rope and doing jumping jacks.

Give your students sheets of white paper with police hat shapes drawn on them. Have your students cut out the police hats with safety scissors and then finger paint them with blue finger paint.

Set out the letters p, o, l, i, c, e that you have previously cut from felt or laminated construction paper. Put out an example of the word police for your students to use as a guide. Have them set out the letters, properly spelling the word police. Instruct your preschool students to count the number of letters in the word police. Now have your preschool students count out 6 police hat shapes to set beneath the 6 lettered word.
Pre-writing Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Police
For younger students, provide sheets of paper with the letters P and p lightly printed on them. Have the children trace the letters. Do the same with the number 6.
For older students, provide an example of the letters P and p and the number 6. Have the students practice writing the letters and number freehand.
Write the word police on your preschool classroom's white erase board. Let your students copy the word police on the white board with blue dry erase markers.
