Cutting: Teach your preschool students how to fold paper and make small cuts in the folds in order to design snowflakes. Decorate your bulletin board with their snowflake creations.

Snowflake dancing: Give each of your preschool students a length of white ribbon. Let them wave the ribbon as they dance and sway to music.

White snowflake art: Give each of your preschool students a sheet of black or dark blue construction paper. Set out white finger paint on paper plates. Let your students make snowflakes with their finger tips. They might also want to paint a snowman or snow scene while they are at it!

Pre-math Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Snowflake
Set out the letters s-n-o-w-f-l-a-k-e that you have previously cut from felt or laminated construction paper. Put out an example of the word snowflake for your students to use as a guide. Have them set out the letters, properly spelling the word snowflake. Instruct your preschool students to count the number of letters in the word snowflake. Now have your preschool students count out 9 snowflake shapes to set beneath the 9 lettered word.
Pre-writing Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Snowflake
For younger students, provide sheets of paper with the letters S and s lightly printed on them. Have the children trace the letters. Do the same with the number 9.
For older students, provide an example of the letters S and s and the number 9. Have the students practice writing the letters and number freehand.
Write the word snowflake on your preschool classroom's white erase board. Let your students copy the word snowflake on the white board with dry erase markers.
