Sensory table: Fill your sensory table with white cotton balls (snow balls). Let your preschool students use tongs and tweezers to pick up and release the cotton balls.

Build-a-snowman Pantomime: Lead your preschool students in a pantomime of building a snowman. Roll three big snowballs. Stack them on top of each other. Put a hat on top. You get the idea!

Pre-math Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Snowman

Set out the letters s-n-o-w-m-a-n that you have previously cut from felt or laminated construction paper. Put out an example of the word snowman for your students to use as a guide. Have them set out the letters, properly spelling the word snowman. Instruct your preschool students to count the number of letters in the word snowman. Now have your preschool students count out 7 snowman shapes to set beneath the 7 lettered word.

Pre-writing Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Snowman

For younger students, provide sheets of paper with the letters S and s lightly printed on them. Have the children trace the letters. Do the same with the number 7.

For older students, provide an example of the letters S and s and the number 7. Have the students practice writing the letters and number freehand.

Write the word snowman on your preschool classroom's white erase board. Let your students copy the word snowman on the white board with dry erase markers.
