Play dough: Let your preschool students mold tigers from orange play dough. For an added sensory experience, scent the play dough with orange Kool-Aid mix.

Lion, Lion, Tiger!: Play a game of Duck, Duck, Goose, but change the words to Lion, Lion, Tiger!
Art Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Tigers
Tiger art: Give each of your preschool students a large tiger shape cut from white paper. Let them finger paint the tiger with orange finger paint. (You can add to the sensory experience by putting some orange Kool-Aid mix in the orange paint.) When the paint has dried, let your students glue black rectangles on the bodies of the orange tigers.

Pre-math Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Tigers
Set out the letters t-i-g-e-r that you have previously cut from felt or laminated construction paper. Put out an example of the word tiger for your students to use as a guide. Have them set out the letters, properly spelling the word tiger. Instruct your preschool students to count the number of letters in the word tiger. Now have your preschool students count out 5 tiger shapes to set beneath the 5 lettered word.
Pre-writing Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Tigers
For younger students, provide sheets of paper with the letters T and t lightly printed on them. Have the children trace the letters. Do the same with the number 5.
For older students, provide an example of the letters T and t and the number 5. Have the students practice writing the letters and number freehand.
Write the word tiger on your preschool classroom's white erase board. Let your students copy the word tiger on the white board with orange dry erase markers.
