The world keeps spinning each and every day
The wind blows causing the trees to sway
Humans can be cruel, defacing this precious land
Taking away the beauty, making ugly, what was once grand
The wind blows causing the trees to sway
Humans can be cruel, defacing this precious land
Taking away the beauty, making ugly, what was once grand
There is nothing like seeing fields of green grass
The lakes and the ocean are a different class
People can destroy this land of glory
In every country there is a different story
Let's try and preserve what we have left here
Look at the wildlife, and what we hold dear
Keep the wide open spaces, and stop the construction
Because sooner or later we will be looking at destruction

Post a CommentI applaud this poem. We indeed need to preserve the world.
Lovely, indeed. And a second to David's claim of inspirational! Bravo!
.... and let us all say, Amen. Then, let us all be moved to step out of our own doors and do the right thing. Nicely written and, obviously for me, inspirational.
