Fox News is confirming that Former President Bill Clinton has been admitted to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City after suffering chest pains. Clinton, who is 63, had a quadruple bypass surgery at the same hospital in 2004. He has just had 2 stents inserted in one of the 2004 grafts that were found to be obstructed.

Bill Clinton, who was president of the United States from 1992 to 2000 is now the United Nations special envoy to Haiti. He had just returned from his second trip to Haiti since the massive earthquake there. According to Fox News, Mr. Clinton had been in pain and not feeling well since his return. According to Dr. Steven Garner of New York Methodist Hospital stress just as would have been experienced in the recent trip to Haiti could exacerbate a condition such as blocked arteries. At the time the article was written, his wife Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, was on her way from Washington to New York.

Bill Clinton's counselor, Douglas J. Band, says that he is in good spirits and will continue to work through his foundation and for Haiti's recovery.
