Obama has taken us through each step of his election, and the journey has been made difficult for him with vicious mud-slinging, but he showed his ability to remain clear-headed, and he handled his campaign with the utmost humility and control. It has been nothing short of historic to see Obama win the 2008 presidency; and aside from making his mark in American politics, Obama has awaken in the American people a renewed sense of hope. In these desperate times, we are all together in need of change. He is a credit to both black and white people in America, for not only is he a good role model for youths of all colors, but a prime example of American fortitude in the face of adversity. The American people, by voting for Obama, have spoken. Together, hand-in hand, blacks and whites have taken back their country and are united in both pride and hope.
