President Obama: The American Scam Artist
Do You Want to Pay $3800 Per Year when the Health Care Bill is Passed?
Obama-supporter and former president Jimmy Carter recently claimed that an allegation by Republican Senator Joe Wilson of South Carolina was a product of racism towards President Obama.
Carter was referencing Senator Wilson's interjection of "You lie!" during Obama's September 9th Congressional Address. Surely, such a remark was rooted in "deep" hatred towards a colored president. Even more so, it must have been the first statement of its kind towards the ever-honest President. Who would think of accusing such a man of increasing the federal deficit in order to expand government control over the entire health care system-and, consequently, the lives of American citizens?
What many do not recognize is that the White House is attempting to cover up another major government deception. By introducing a racial scandal for the media to focus on, citizens are less likely to notice Obama's mention-on the same day as Carter's enlightened psychological diagnosis of Wilson-that failure to act in accordance with with the government's new health care bill will end up costing families as much as $3800 per year.
The President then proceeded to assure skeptical members of Congress that the "public option" insurance plan will not include subsidies-which would give the government-run health care plan an advantage over private health insurance companies.
In case you did not catch the irony here: who in his or her right mind is going to forfeit $3800 a year to save the private insurance sector? Obama leaves Americans a trifling choice: convert to the government-run health care plan, or pay the government thousands of dollars in fines anyways.
Well, the Land of the Free certainly does give its citizens a lot of financial leeway-especially to the private health insurance companies Obama is trying so desperately to suppress. With yearly fees of $6 billion for private health insurance companies, $4 billion for medical-device manufacturers, and $750 million for medical laboratories, many medical industries will soon declare bankruptcy on the path to extinction.
This also entails that individuals and families who initially choose not to convert to the government health care system will soon face heightened insurance prices as private companies attempt to remain financially-stable.
Not only this, but a Fox News poll of 900 registered voters suggests that 38 percent favor the health care legislation. Three Americans out of four indicated that, if they were to fall sick, they would prefer private health care insurance over government-run coverage.
Senator Wilson's accusation was in response to the promise that, "The reforms I am proposing will not apply to those who are here illegally." This unsound declaration was made by President Obama while regarding the proposed health care bill that will be voted on by Congress in October.
Was Senator Wilson politically unwarranted in making his interjection? Not at all. According to the Congressional Research Service Report for Congress, the H.R. 3200 Bill created by the 11th session of Congress in mid-July contains absolutely no restraints against illegal immigrants participating in the Health Insurance Exchange.
So, then, Senator Wilson must have been morally unjust in making such an accusation? Think again-President Obama is not the first president to have his integrity challenged. During his 2005 State of the Union Address, President George W. Bush was booed for his prediction that the nation would become bankrupt by 2042. The Democrats were not racist against a white president, just as Joe Wilson is not racist against a black president. As Wilson's own son, Iraq veteran Alan Wilson, testifies, "There is not a racist bone in my dad's body. He doesn't even laugh at distasteful jokes."
American playwright Edward Albee had a saying: "The difference between critics and audiences is that one is a group of humans and one is not." The similar Congressional responses of Bush and Obama differ only because Joe Wilson voiced his opinion solitarily rather than as a group. Yet, according to Carter, Wilson's outburst was "dastardly."
Is it right for an individual to be attacked for utilizing his First Amendment right to freedom of speech? If this were the case, the Republicans might as well rebuke President Carter for prejudging Senator Wilson as prejudiced against young Republican senators from South Carolina.
Not surprisingly, Obama's public relations advisors realized they should attempt to keep any controversy away from the President's pristine image. Obama's spokesman, Robert Gibbs, appeared publicly to announce that the president "does not think [Wilson's statement] is based on the color of his skin."
A brief side note: has anyone noticed that Obama never seems to apologize for himself? In the last racially-based headliner (which dealt with the disorderly conduct of the arrest of Obama's African-American friend Henry Louis Gates Jr.), Obama merely uttered that he "could have calibrated his words differently." He continuously manages to avoid conflict, yet never admit he was wrong.
While influencing the public that he cares for the well-being of the public, President Obama has successfully swindled American citizens into believing that the new government-run health care plan will be cost-effective (an $856 billion addition to the trillion dollar deficit) and mutually beneficial (especially to the 12 million Americans who will end up paying from $950 to $3800 per year as a penalty for remaining enrolled in private health insurance).
In other words, Obama has become a national scam artist. And as Republican Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota and followers at movements across the country have repeated all week, "Thank God for Joe Wilson." At least one Senator knows what he is talking about.

As for the opening of my article... you read it, didn't you?
biased, maybe, or even said at the wrong place at the wrong time. But that does not change the fact that Wilson was portrayed timely as a "racist" to advance the unjust motives of the Obama administration.
September 12th is three days after Carter labeled Wilson as a racist. The 9 12 Project played no role in the Obama-Wilson-Carter issue; rather, Wilson's outburst may have influenced the Project, instead. Even more so, the 9 12 Project would have been 3 days too late for Obama to cover up his $3800 - per family, per year - non-conformance scheme.
As the Obama administration hopes will happen, the focus of this conversation has switched back to blame and race, but the facts are still there: working Americans who choose, by their own freedoms, to keep their current health insurance coverage will be forced to pay $3800 per year out of their own pockets. Whether or not Americans switch to government-run health insurance, the government has set up the health care system so that it - not
Nolan,
Under H.R. 3200, there is no established way of verifying whether a noncitizen is actually a citizen or not. Furthermore, regardless of whether illegal aliens receive the federal health insurance coverage, they are still exempt from paying the fines which other Americans - those who choose to keep their current health insurance or remain uninvolved in the health care system at all - will be required to pay.
Nowhere in my article have I claimed tat Joe Wilson was denied his freedom of speech. He was, however, critized for a commentary which parallels outbursts in past Congressional sessions, as exemplified by the Democrats during Bush's State of the Union Address in 2005. No one blew the SOTU disruption out of proportion - so please inform us as to why Carter and the Democratic party felt the need to lash out against Wilson's interjection, claiming it was a "racist" statement?
The fact of the matter is that there was nothing racial about Wilson's two-worded claim. Politically-
Bravo, Alexis! You are right on in your assertions. Further, Carter is clearly playing the heavy, diverting attention so that Obama's image is preserved. Scam Artist in Chief!
How do you expect anyone to take you seriously, with an opening line like that? I guess you don't, since there is nothing but conjecture in the rest of your article. Read Sec. 246 of HR 3200, simply "NO Federal Payments" for illegal aliens. Then there's Joe Wilson...no one is denying him freedom of speech. Joe needs to know that a joint session of Congress is not the Jerry Springer Show. Finally the White House did not introduce "a racial scandal" as a distraction...those teabaggers in the park on 9/12 showed us exactly where they stand with their vile placards and bigoted b.s.
