Mask

The most essential part to your costume is the mask. There are options available for all budgets. Hellfire Graffix offers a free printable mask. Click on the image to get a large file. HalloweenCostumes.com has a nice latex mask for $19.99. You can probably find one at a store near you.

Attire

Obama is a snappy dresser, so you cannot go wrong with a suit and tie. If you do not own a suit, or wish to keep yours clean, head to your local Goodwill or Salvation Army store to pick up a used suit at a low price. Many may be way out of date, but hey, it is Halloween! You should scan the web for some images to get some inspiration for your costume. There are some more casual options to choose from that might be a little more comfortable depending on the temperature.

Accessories

A stethoscope would make a nice addition to your costume. This is one of those subtle political references mentioned earlier. Whether you are for or against President Obama's plan, you will be highlighting a key issue in his presidency.

Be sure to grab a pack of Marlboro's, Barack Obama's brand. You are sure to make a few friends if you hand out a few smokes to the Halloween crowd. Just make sure you enjoy them in a designated smoking area.

Read some political news to find out more about the latest issues. If you find something worthy of accessorizing, be creative and make a statement with your costume. This will also get you up-to-date with politics, and give you some talking points and catch phrases for the evening.

Finishing Touches

Any good politician will tell you to talk with your hands to emphasize your points. You should definitely let your fingers accompany your conversations. Additionally, President Obama favors the use of a teleprompter. Remember to look back and forth to the left and right of the person you are talking with to mimic reading your side of a conversation from a screen.
