President Obama VS Republicans and Tea Partiers

Will the Opposition Try to Win in November, at ANY COST?

Rose Richmond
We may have to start paying admission to watch the politicians on TV. Why? Because they are actors. They aren't trying to tell us the "TRUTH", they are trying to win us over with their acting skills.

It is the beginning of yet another election on the horizon. We are being bombarded with ads on TV, hundreds of billboards, ground signs and phone calls. Not an hour goes by that someone running for office, doesn't get flashed in front of you somewhere. I thought we just got through with changing the order of the clown show. We just put the most recent set of politicians in Washington.

As I sit and reflect on the last election, I remember distinctly the running candidates promising everything under the sun. Democrat or Republican, they all had the same sales pitch. They were going to do this and they were going to do that. They were going to reform Washington or whatever state they happened to be from. The Democrats were working the CHANGE factor and the Republicans could only call Obama a Socialist and say he didn't have a U.S. Birth Certificate. They never really had any ideas. They were going for the discrediting angle. Well that obviously didn't work. All the ranting and raving by Sarah Palin and John McCain was just that. The country was ready for something else.

OK, so here we are again. Since the last election, we have had a split in the Republican Party. Now we have the Tea Party, an offshoot of the Republicans. According to Wikipedia: The Tea Party movement is an American socio-political movement that emerged in 2009 through a series of locally and nationally coordinated protests.

They are protesting several issues. The Bail Out is probably number one on their list or so they say. This was the reason for the split in the Republican Party, among other things. President Bush gave us the Bail Out. Though, now we know, if the Bail Out had not been continued, we may have had mass chaos across the country. We do not know what the true ramifications would have been, had we stopped after the first assistance. The same banks and companies the Bail Out helped have turned their finances around or have done what they had to do. We didn't lose like it was predicted we would. It worked to save these companies and to keep the economy from going on to be another Depression. It was a Republican Idea that the Democrats utilized well.

President Obama has been in office approx. 562 days. 150 of those days are weekends, approx. That leaves 412 days. He walked into a hornet's nest in the beginning. Lets make a list.
1. ECONOMY IN THE TANK
2. 2 WARS GOING FULL STRENGTH
3. JOBS GOING RAPIDLY
These are just the top 3. After he was sworn in, he began to deal with the biggest problem he has faced to date. Being black, being President and being in control. Instant disaster for that scenario. The Republicans and Tea Partiers were furious. They have tried to say there was no racism in the Tea Party and I say, Yea OK, whatever you say....That's why there were death threats and deliberate racism promotion at McCain/Palin rallies. Though not a Tea Partier then, she supports them now. Wonder why? HMMMM! The racists were gnashing their teeth all during the election and even now. They hate that a black man became President. I think it is too funny...HA! HA! HA! to all the racists out there. Funny! GET OVER IT!

If you look at what you and I get done on our jobs in a day and then look at the 412 days Obama has been operating or even the 562, I am sure he has worked weekends too, he has accomplished a lot. Especially with the opposition 24/7. He has stabilized the economy and passed some kind of health care. He has gotten a handle on Wall Street. He has collected payments from the Bail Out, from companies. He took control of the oil spill situation with BP and handled that. He is trying to handle the war, promote jobs bills,(which the Republicans are fighting tooth and nail), and many other things. Do you get that much done in a year and a half on your job? NO!

Facts are, the Republicans are only saying what they said before. They are accusing and clouding the real issue. They don't have a clue how to do anything different than President Obama and Democrats are doing right now. They don't have answers. They didn't have answers before. What answers they may have is overshadowed by their blatant attacks on Obama and his administration. Trying to invent issues like the Shirley Sherrod thing. The blogger who made that happen was looking for a reaction. He didn't care who he hurt. Turns out it was all crap. Total invented crap!

I can't tell who is a Republican or Tea Partier. They are all full of baloney and floating around like rafts without paddles. There brilliant solution to the problems they say we have is to just talk junk. Whether a lie or the truth, they will get on TV, on FOX and other places and say whatever they think of that is bad about Obama or anyone associated with him. Glen Beck will get on TV and cry and tell you the end is near and so much drama. What a joke! Do people really listen to that guy. I listen for 5 minutes to see the act. Then I turn the channel.

Are the Republicans and Tea Partiers concerned about the STATE of America? They called social assistance "Socialism" but so many are retired people taking Social Security and Medicare! What? The whole thing gets ridiculous.

Will the Republicans and Tea Party sacrifice the country for their own agenda? Will people that voted for Obama and trusted him then, turn their backs now? It is hard to speak to the people who supported Obama. I supported him. I was a life long Republican. I voted for the big Ronald Reagan. I chose this time to support President Obama. I DO NOT REGRET my decision. I am not going to turn and run from him now. As far as the right sacrificing our country, YES, I think they are willing to do that. They know what they are doing. Just say it enough to the public and they will begin to believe it. Well, folks, that is just sad. That means we are all just dumb ass sheep. We are just floating through life letting others tell us what to think. It that you? It is NOT me!

If you look closely at President Obama's 562 days in office, he has accomplished a lot to HELP our country. He didn't go in there and say OK, y'all fend for yourselves, I am not going to do anything but fight this war and sit here in Washington and hide out like George Bush! He hasn't turned us into a Socialist government. He hasn't turned us into Muslims. He hasn't allowed Muslims to take over our country.

He has tried to help millions that were going to sit home and die, because they didn't have health care. He has put a leash on Wall St to some degree. He is trying to stop George Bush's LIE of a WAR and he is trying to put more jobs out there. What else do you want from him America, other than being WHITE?

If you are literate and are coherent and are not just stupid, you have to admit that things are turning. The Republican clowns that continue to preach doom and gloom are hoping for the Antichrist to show up as Obama. It is time for all Americans that can see what is REALLY happening to stand up and support this administration. Don't let the negative and the lies make us start from scratch again. If you have a horse that is plowing your fields well and giving you 110%, Do you throw him out to the glue factory because you see a more appealing horse at the auction? You decide!

Are you man or woman enough to still support our President? Or not?

  • Has President Obama really done a bad job?
  • Did the Socialism theory come to fruition?
We have not become a Socialist country despite the constant blaring of that supposed fact throughout the last election!

I hear ya', Rose. I can still remember how economist from left, right, and center expected something in the scale of the great depression just before Obama took office and that the recovery wouldn't even bottom out for 2 yrs. I'm a fiscal conservative, but working in medicine means that I know about triage, too. The deficit is a concern, but nothing on the scale of how the economy was tanking. When someone shows up in the ER with two broken legs and a dissected aorta... to heck with the legs. You treat the aorta first and make sure the dude lives even if leg functions have to be sacrificed. Obama is far from perfect but at least he and his crew do their best to help the country. And those 'conservatives' who have nothing to contribute except for name callings and black & white mentality are no conservatives to me. :o)

Another doom and gloomer you are Robin. How fast can he move on Health Care? If Republicans and Tea Partier had there way, there would be NO BILL on health care. Then how long would the dying have to wait? So if he had NOT borrowed to help us, what then? You don't think we would be bankrupt then? Please! Do you think people that have lost their jobs are sitting around saying YEAH! I can collect unemployment at HALF what I was making and struggle with bills..YEAH....How stupid! People don't want to be unemployed. They want to work and have the things they need without the government being involved. Obama didn't make the unemployment laws. Do you work? or do you collect Social Security. Have you ever been out of work and COULDN'T find a job? Stop being so blind.

No one sitting at home waiting to die has "health care" still - do you expect those folks to jump up and head to the hospital when most of the provisions don't go into effect yet? And the Tea Party is not a political party, according to your source, Wikipedia, which is unreliable at best, it's simply a "movement", a group of those who have slightly different ideals that the majority of their party.

Nope, the country hasn't quite gone to hell, and the radical Muslims certainly haven't taken over, but we're also going bankrupt. All those programs that Obama is promoting and "working on" cost money - it takes trillions to hand people what they should be working for in the first place. And not only people, but companies who blow their dollars on bonuses and vacations and bad investments.

You say Obama has "only" been in office a short time. True. Just wait. It's not getting any better.
