On Dec. 24, 2009, President Obama's Health Care Bill was passed by the Senate. The passing of this bill was a major victory for the Democratic Party. The vote was 60-39, and was split along party lines and this was done only one day after Democrats succeeded in crushing a filibuster by Republicans. Can this be due to divine intervention? Well it seems that this whirlwind process for change is also reflected in with the stars (astrology).

For so long medical coverage has been extremely expensive for hard working families. And if you ever became sick with a serious illness, it was almost a guarantee that you and family would loss everything and be at a financial disadvantage. This Health Care Bill will finally make it possible for low income and middle class families to get proper coverage regardless of your health.

According to the Associated Press, At the White House, Obama called the vote historic, and said because of it, "We are incredibly close to making health insurance reform a reality in this country. Our challenge now is to finish the job."

At the news conference, Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued a statement pledging, "We will soon produce a final bill that is founded on the core principles of health insurance reform: affordability for the middle class, security for our seniors, responsibility to our children by reducing the deficit, and accountability for the insurance industry."

The Senate bill will have an insurance exchange by the beginning of 2014. With this bill, Americans will be able to shop for private coverage sold under federal guidelines. The provision should be in effect in 2013.
The Health Care Bill will make a difference for all Americans. It will make it illegal for insurance companies to deny benefits or charge higher prices for pre-existing illnesses. The Health Care Bill is a step in the right direction in ensuring that all American have a fair chance to get adequate health coverage.
