Millions of people sat glued to their televisions, radios, computers and other electronic devices, hoping to hear words of encouragement, words of suggestion, and words of a promised recovery. What we got was a rehash of his old campaign speeches.
Again we were bestowed his arrogance. What did he really have to say on a positive note, very little. However the people were told, we were ignorant and beneath him in intellect and intelligence. We were told we had not comprehended the grandness of [his] vision for the future. And, we were informed State sponsored Health Care would be assured. We were told again, "to sit down and shut up".
Wow, that's a lot to say and to say nothing at all. There was no mention of the failures of the Federal Government. In fact, the Fed's were uplifted and glorified. By not acknowledging the failures in D. C., are we to assume all is well? This cannot be the case. Too many things have gone wrong.
For twelve months Democrats in Congress have pounded the American people with the need for Universal Health Care. We heard numbers ranging from 44 to 24 million people as being uninsured or uninsurable. The real numbers are far lower than even the 24 million, once proclaimed. The name of Universal HealthCare has changed sooften, most can't keep up with it. Why the name changes? No matter what it's called, it is still The Federal Government Forced Health Care, not open market health care.
Our President landed blows of belittling on Democrats in congress, The Supreme Court and the Republicans in congress. He did not deliver criticism on his own office, other than to say "I may not have explained the health care program well enough".
Mr. President you not only, "did not only explain it well enough", the American public understood it to the capacity that personal investigation was required by the non government types, being John Q. Public. What we found was a deliberately flawed proposal with clear intent to put forth an anti-American, anti-freedom, anti-liberty, anti-capitalist, and anti-survival bill. Mr. President, most Americas reading the bill discovered very early, you did not know what was in it. It was also concluded, most in Congress had not read the bills. This violation of due diligence was not limited to just the House or just the senate; it was both houses. In addition, you and your equally (Progressives) promoters, enforcers and supporters, in leadership positions, did not read the bill. But the American people were supposed to agree, accept, and shut-up?
It is clear much is not in order in this country. The American citizens are in doubt of the integrity of the leadership and questioning themselves. Questions have surfaced doubting the qualities of all in Washington. The severity of those doubts came to life in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts elections. The people as a whole know an agenda is a foot and are mobilizing to stop it. The State of The Union Address has come and gone leaving a residue of resentment. Unless the culture of corruption in Congress is addressed, it will be done so in November at the ballot box.
