Presidential Address

August 31, 2010 The combat war is finally over! Thank God! And, the best part of this is that our loved ones that are still over there will be coming home by the end of next year. When the president told of the story about the military convoy coming home I almost started to cry. I believe he said fifty five brave souls gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country that wasn't on that convoy. And, over forty four hundred gave the ultimate sacrifice in a ten year period. The numbers may not be exact but you get the main idea. Someone close to me who is in the military once told me this. Do you want us to fight over there or on our own land? That is the question. I had a newfound understanding after that!

Our president also mentioned many times about our middle class. And how we need to work on ways to help the middle class to get back to the way it was. In my opinion, the middle class has been diminishing day by day. I hope this revelation isn't too late. For example, I know five people who were considered middle class maybe four months ago but now they are called unemployed. What a shame!
