The 2012 Presidential Election promises to exciting, brutal, and historic. While we do not know who the final candidates will be, the outline of the campaign and its issues are emerging.
Republicans do not know who their candidate will be, but they are certain about what the candidate's platform will be. The Republicans will argue that Obama is a failed leader who backs away when challenged, and does not understand how the economy works. They will argue that he does not know how to develop new jobs and business investment.
President Obama will tie his opponent to the tea party, and argue that they are too extreme. He will argue that Republicans are obsessed with preserving millionaires' tax cuts even though this causes the federal deficit to soar, and everyone else to struggle.
