Presidential Museums Review : American President George Bush and More

Rebecca Said
Presidential Museums has a detailed biography on every United States president. In the presidential biographies it lists date of birth, education, political activities and more. The biographies start from 1789 with President George Washington all the way to 2007 with President George W. Bush. With each president it has there photo and a quote they made that defines what they stood for in office.

President George W. Bush is quoted, "I will not forget this wound to our country or those who inflicted it. I will not yield; I will not rest; I will not relent in waging this struggle for freedom and security for the American people. The course of this conflict is not known, yet its outcome is certain. Whether we bring enemies to justice or bring justice to our enemies, justice will be done." Personally, I have never seen this quote by President Bush until visiting the Presidential Museums website. Yet it describes President Bush's agenda and focus of his presidency very clearly.

Another interesting feature of the Presidential Museums website is that it provides locations with the address for each president. If you click on location next to the president name you will find address of where they currently live, address of childhood home and/or address of cemetery they are buried in. It will also show libraries, museums and monuments dedicated to president and whether they allow visits from the public. I actually found out they have made Bill Clinton's childhood home into a public museum. It is located in Hope, Arkansas and charges a $5 admission fee.

Presidential Museums also lists information about historical sites and museums to visit such as the White House, Mount Rushmore National Monument, Gerald R. Ford Library & Museum, George Bush Presidential Library & Museum, Ronald Reagan Library, Jimmy Carter Library & Museum, Lyndon B. Johnson Library, John F. Kennedy Library, Dwight D. Eisenhower Library & Museum, Harry S Truman Library, Franklin D. Roosevelt Library, Herbert Hoover Library, Office of Presidential Libraries, The Presidential Museum & Leadership Library and the America's Presidency, Museum and Gallery. There are also links to each of these individual websites so you can get more detailed information about each president.

If you are interested in attending patriotic American events they have a small section of the website for events. One of the more interesting events listed is the Mount Vernon Wine Festival. It is an annual event dedicated to honor the great wine making abilities of George Washington. They get together each year to celebrate George Washington's wine making. If there is time and if they remember, he will probably get a toast for being America's founding father as well. The Presidential Museums is a fun website to learn in detail about all the American presidents.
