These are just a few of the many places you might travel, passed on to me by southern California's expert on travel, Sara Leonard at Off We Go Travel.
For the Singles
Carnival Fun Trips is offering a President's Week Special for singles, you'll sail onboard the Carnival Glory to the exquisite tropical Islands of Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Marten. Enjoy cocktail mixers, speed meeting, dance lessons, wine tasting and more. Carnival's motto is ' Travel single but never alone'. Gee, that almost makes me wish I was single at least for President's Week. (Just kidding my little love dumpling!) This trip departs on Valentine's Day, which is great because you're single and ready to mingle.
These packages include Ocean View Cabin including taxes starting at just 907.45 per person. But hold on to your hats their mates, don't take that as the final price there are ways to get round these things. Seniors 55 and older could pay $727.45 per person including tax, Military per person price starting at $702.45, and don't forget to ask about resident rates for the state you live in. Residents from states like Alabama, Colorado, Texas, Virginia and others will pay just $727.45. Naturally all prices listed are subject to availability and change, and no airfare.
For Folks with kids
I'm a parent and there is no greater selling point than, "Kids stay, play and eat free" I just say bring it on! Okay, but before the Duggar Family starts packing up their 18 children there is an asterisk* the Kids stay, play and eat free program has limits amounting to about a $200.00 resort credit. This is still not a bad deal. Places you can get away to with the 'Kids stay, play and eat free deal' are Cancun, Cancun's Riviera Maya, Punta Cana, Cozumel, Huatulco, Ixtapa, Jamaica, La Romana, Los Cabos and Vallarta.
Royal Solaris Cancun at Barceló Tucancun Beach offers lively Mexican culture, white sand beaches, With a Kids Club full of fun activities for children ages 4 to 12 and entertainment for guests of all ages, this is sure to be a vacation that pleases everyone, dancing, fine dining and tours of Chichen Itza (or as your kids will probably call it, Chicken Pizza) where you'll experience pyramids and the temples of the Maya. Kulkulkan plaza is a large Duty-Free shopping center with Jewelry and other fine items for sale. I've been to Cancun and loved it. Don't miss diving the cenotes (underground caves) if you are a diver. The Price is All-inclusive for a 4 night stay from $799.00 per person with up to 2 children free, subject to tax, availability and change, airfare not included.
For the Lovers
Club-Med is offering a Half Off Your Better Half deal during President's Day you can go to any of a number of their wonderful resorts such as Sand Piper, Florida; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; Ixtapa Pacific, Mexico; Cancun Yucatan Mexico; Turkoise, Turks and Caicos; Columbus Isle, Bahamas; Buccaneer's Creek, Martinque; Caravelle, Guadeloupe; Bora Bora, French Polynesia. Club Med is a wonderful all-inclusive resort that is terribly romantic no matter your destination, their rooms, facilities; social activities and food are out of this world. Do try the white chocolate French bread; for some it's the reason they keep coming back to the resort time and again.
Subject to availability-change and not including airfare the Pricing is $1300.00 per person plus taxes, and ½ off the second person. The only thing left to do is figure out which one of you is the better half. Now if my better half would indeed book this trip, he would indeed be my better half. Until then I retain the title. Bon Voyage!

Post a CommentA vacation sounds great right now. Thanks for the suggestions! As for the pictures, I've noticed the same thing. Maybe a glitch in the system?
White chocolate french bread! I'm so there!
I never thought to take a vacation on President's Day. Great ideas!
okay, why isn't associated posting the pictures that they encourage everyone to look for upload, download, get permissions for, credits by ...etc... the last two articles have no photo. Grrrr, is anyone else upset about this?
