Presque Isle: The Most Beautiful Beach in Pennsylvania

Johanna Swith
Presque Isle is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Located along the southshore of Lake Erie in Erie Pennsylvania. Presque Isle is quite possibly one of the few places you can experience the ocean, without traveling to the coast. The beauty of the waves crashing along the sandy beach mixed with the cry of seagulls flying above gives the impression that you are standing before the sea. You almost have to taste the water to believe this spectacular sight is Lake Erie.

Presque Isle features 14 miles of public beaches, restrooms, vending machines and so much more. The recreational possibilities are vast. Imagine picnicking with your sweetie, and watching the sunset. Or playing sand volleyball with your friends, or boating out to a prime fishing spot. Budny Beach is the nicest spot on the isle, in my opinion. I loved the peaceful setting.

Presque Isle is home of a bird sanctuary, and two lighthouses. You can't miss this gorgeous destination in Erie Pennsylvania. The wind off of the lake combined with the waves crashing create an atmosphere that is relaxing and romantic.

I love Preque Isle in the spring as much as in the summer. It is one of my favorite places in the United States. It is worth the trip to Pennsylvania to see this phenomenal beach and state park.

There are so many opportunities for family fun at Presque Isle that I can not get involved in discussing all of them in this review. I would recommend that anyone in the Lake Erie area should visit Preque Isle. It is a great spot for so many activities with friends, families, sweethearts and pets.

I loved the chance to observe nature and take some fantastic photos while vacationing in Erie Pennsylvania, I am so glad that I spent an afternoon exploring the wonder that is Presque Isle! This is a perfect spot for picnics and building sand castles, and long walks on the beach.

There are enough activities at Preqsue Isle to entertain you all day long! I loved the ease of beach access, you can just park along the road and walk up a path to the beach, and in some spots you can park with instant beach access. Presque Isle is simply unbelievable!

I enjoyed walking the beach and picking up beautiful stones from Lake Erie as well as running for two miles without encountering another person
on the beach. Presque Isle would be a nice place to learn to surf on the decent sized waves, get a tan, or just relax!
