I purchased the Presto 6842 Non Stick Electric Skillet because my kitchen range stopped working and I needed an alternate cooking method while saving money to get it fixed. I mostly use it for cooking small servings of food since I live alone in an apartment. It's mostly food like bacon, sausage and hash browns because I am home every morning, but make it in late. I am happy that they do make things that are convenient to me and my lifestyle, so I can still enjoy food I like to eat until my problem gets fixed. Using the Presto 6842 Non Stick Electric Skillet saves me money to prevent from going out to all the expensive restaurants that only serve foods that are high in fat.
I like the fact that the Presto 6842 Non Stick Electric Skillet cooks nearly anything. Somehow this skillet can easily make casseroles, grilled cheese, roasts, steaks, fried foods, one dish meals without any of it sticking to the surface. With the Presto 6842 Non Stick Electric Skillet you can wash by hand or stick it in a dishwasher without worrying about any damage or scratches to its surface. Now when everyone is done eating, I have no worries when someone volunteers to wash my dishes.
The only issue you may have to watch out for when using the Presto 6842 Non Stick Electric Skillet is draining all your pasta into a strainer without spilling it all out or making a mess. If you do just happen to take a chance and try to drain your pasta, the best advice is to do it slow with a towel close by or under your strainer because the skillet will be shaky.
I recommend the Presto 6842 Non Stick Electric Skillet because I originally bought it as a temporary solution, but it became a permanent part of my kitchen and also one of the most used appliances I have. The only thing you have to do to prevent from making a mess with it is find you and extremely oversized strainer for your pasta which is going to be hard because I have been unsuccessful thus far. All you have to do with all your other food on the other hand is roast, fry or boil away!
