After being hit on
On a daily basis
Being called pretty
Quickly loses its meaning
When said so lightly
Connotations lost
People never sincere
Because followed by the line
"You are so pretty"
Is "I want to fuck you"
If this is what happens
To those who are allegedly pretty
Then I do not want it
So I scar myself to the point
Where no one will even
Give me a second glance
For the one who really means it
Will see past the superficial scars

Post a CommentKady! What are you saying? The superficial stuff's just part of your nature anyway. Right?!?!
Your poems are so "real" covering the subjects that most wouldn't touch.
This is amazing poetry here. Amazing because you have been able to touch upon a subject that conjures up raw emotions using a unique type of line presentation. Youtrpicture is awecome, too.
