The heat of the summer sun is turning up and everyone is adventuring outdoors and spending hours in the hot summer weather soaking up the rays of the hot sun. As we are enjoying the sun during the summer months, the sun is enjoying heating up everything it can as well as causing damage not only to our skin when left unprotected, but to our hair as well. Don't wait until the end of the summer only to look in the mirror and find that you have damaged hair starring back at you that was caused by the sun during those summer months. You can help prevent damage to your hair from the sun by taking some minor steps and using sun care hair products so you are not disappointed at the end of summer when you look in the mirror. You don't want to be searching on ways to repair damaged hair from the sun and other elements that summer brings. Here are some things you can do to help prevent hair damage from the sun and other elements during the summer months and beyond.

Use Hair Products that contain UVA and UVB Protection

Using hair products that contain UVA and UVB protection is an important step to prevent hair damage from the sun during the summer months and beyond. Prior to going to the pool, beach, lake, park, or where ever you are out in the sun during the the hot summer months, you can prevent hair damage from the sun by using products that contain both UVA and UBA protection. Unplug the Hairdryer and Iron

Give your hair a little break during the summer months and let your hair dry naturally without using the hairdryer or iron to help prevent hair damage from the sun during the summer months. When you come back in from the enjoying the summer sun, your hair may be weak and brittle and if you use the hairdryer or iron, you are only damaging your hair even more.
