Prevent and Relieve Chronic Dry Mouth with Natural Treatments

Avoid taking over the counter medications for chronic dry mouth relief there are a number of alternative and natural treatments to help prevent and relieve chronic dry mouth. Coenzyme Q10 helps improve the circulation in your body, including your mouth. Coenzyme Q10 can also help improve some of the symptoms of chronic dry mouth, which includes bad breath, cavities, and gum disease. To help prevent chronic dry mouth, take 30 mgs a day of CoQ10, if you are trying to get some relief from chronic dry mouth, take 60 mgs a day of CoQ10.

When you have chronic dry mouth it damages everything inside of your mouth, including your gums, tongue, and lips. Since chronic dry mouth is caused by bacteria build up, you need to strengthen your immune system by taking a number of natural treatments. To help prevent and treat damage done by chronic dry mouth, increase or start taking 2,000 mgs of vitamin C a day. Vitamin C is one of the most powerful antioxidants that will naturally prevent and treat infections like chronic dry mouth. The next antioxidant is vitamin B. Tale a supplement that contains all, or at least most, of the B complex vitamins with each containing 100 mgs each.

Goldenseal is a natural moisturizer that can help moisten your dry mouth. You can try rinsing out your mouth with a dose of goldenseal mouthwash to help relieve dry mouth. Prepare a cup of goldenseal, let it cool, and put a teaspoon of baking soda in the goldenseal to help reduce any swelling in your mouth. Then mix the two and rinse in your mouth just like any other mouthwash spitting it out after a few minutes. Natrum muriaticum is a homeopathy treatment that helps relieve the cracks in the corners of your mouth caused by chronic dry mouth. Take a 30 potency tablet of this treatment everyday by letting it dissolve under your tongue.

Aloe gel works great in providing relief from the swelling and burning that may come from a case of chronic dry mouth. Swab a small amount of aloe gel on a cotton ball or cotton tip and rub it on your gums and cheeks. Don't drink or eat for at least an hour after using this treatment. For some people, drinking enough water is the main problem that causes chronic dry mouth. A simple solution to prevent chronic dry mouth may be to drink more water. You should drink at least 64 ounces of water a day but if you suffer from chronic dry mouth, try drinking more than 64 ounces a day. And make sure it is water, not flavored water or some other fluid.
