Eye Skin is Delicate
The skin around the eyes is especially delicate. This skin is actually up to ten times less thick than the skin on the rest of the face. Throughout the years our skin loses some of it elasticity and collagen which leads to skin damage and crows feet. Practically speaking, this means we need to be gentler with the skin around our eyes. Do this by avoiding anything that may be irritating to the delicate skin. A good example of this is rubbing the eyes. Many people do this when they are tired, but the delicate and thin condition of this skin means that capillaries are likely to rupture, skin is likely to be damaged and elasticity is likely to be further lost - all three of which lead to crows feet. Smoking, sun exposure and pollution can also cause stress to this delicate skin. Blinking, smiling, and squinting all affect the skin around the eyes and can create crow's feet. Protect the delicate skin of around the eyes.
Skin Care of Delicate Eye Skin
The very nature of the skin around the eyes makes it difficult to care for. Harsh cleansers or scrubs that work wonders for the rest of the face may cause too much damage to delicate eye skin. It is important that time and consideration be taken when choosing a skin care process for the eyes. Not only should a specialized product be purchased, several good skin care tips are necessary to aid in the prevention of crow's feet.
* Drink a lot of water to maintain skin elasticity
* Do not smoke as smoking causes skin damage by constricting blood vessels.
* Avoid over exposure to sunlight as it can cause the skin to age prematurely
* Avoid squinting and protect your eyes by wearing sunglasses
* Get your beauty sleep as fatigue can contribute to overall poor skin appearance
* Because alcohol can cause dehydration, limit your intake
* Be extra gentle when cleaning the eye area by using flat cotton pads
