Preventing Makeup from Running in the Summer

Ladies, we all have this problem in the summer time. We put our makeup on and head out into the summer sun and heat. Within an hour our makeup has pretty much melted off our face from sweat. It has also began to cake up around our hair lines and our face become oily. Ever wonder what can be done to prevent this? Here are tips that can help with wearing make-up in the summer time.

First ladies switch to an oil free foundation. This will help prevent the face from being so oily during the summer time. Second find an oil-free sunscreen. This also needs to have an SPF of at least 25 or higher. Squeeze the sunscreen into your hand, about dime size. Pour some of the foundation onto the sunscreen and mix them together. Apply the mixture to your face with a make-up sponge. The sunscreen adheres to the foundation causing it to stay in place longer on your face. Also, because it has a sunscreen, this will protect your face from harmful UV rays.

Every woman has had problems with foundation running at the hair line when sweating in the summer sun. It cakes up along the hair and we all know that's not attractive This can be an easy fix to. To take care of this problem buy an antiperspirant that is clear gel, not solid. Roll a dime size of the antiperspirant gel onto the palm of your hand. Second, add an oil-free foundation to the antiperspirant gel. Apply the mixture to the hair line around the forehead. The antiperspirant stops sweat from forming and leaves make-up in it's place. No more clumps along the hair line. After applying your foundation, lightly powder your face. This acts like a barrier from the heat and will help the makeup stay on longer.

Another tip that women can use is to switch from liquid foundation to mineral foundation. Mineral foundation is made from natural minerals and ground up into a fine powder. Since mineral makeup foundation is a powder, it tends to stay on longer and keeps other makeup looking great, like eye shadow and blush. Also, switching to lighter colors and using lighter makeup can help your makeup stay on longer. For lips, applying light powder before your lip stick will help the lip stick stay in place.

Summer can be an awful time for wearing makeup. Making minor changes and adjustments can aid in keeping makeup looking great and lasting longer!
