Diets
If you go on a diet before your wedding just to fit in a wedding gown, your difficulty of gaining pounds back could be if you dropped the diet once you got married. The key to diets is that they aren't one time things and are supposed to be lifestyle changes that you stick with and eat healthy.
Following a doctor or nutritionist-recommended diet is to be done until whatever goal you want accomplished is reached. So if you don't mind gaining weight after the wedding, by all means stop the diet. If you want to maintain the weight you have at your wedding you will have to maintain your diet for a longer period.
According to Weight Loss Resources, add calories to your diet in 250 calorie increments until you get to your desired weight and keep the calories there. Eating a well-balanced diet and exercise are always practical ways to maintain your current physique.
Keep Eating
Just because you're married doesn't mean you should change your eating habits from before your wedding. If your new husband and yourself have different dietary needs then it shouldn't be too hard to adapt to each other's food requirements. Sit down and make a meal plan that fits you both and making it on paper will help you both to recognize what can be done to make sure you both stay healthy.
If he's a liver and onions carnivore and you have your almonds and eggs, there are plentiful ways to save money and time to make your food. A stove has four burners, so make the liver on one and eggs on the other. Shop using coupons and buy items in bulk whenever possible.
If you had a very active honeymoon for a week or two and then you settle into a more sedentary lifestyle, you may gain a little weight if you become less mobile. Find ways to maintain a level of activity that is consistent with your weight and lifestyle and you should at least be able to maintain your weight.
Pregnant?
Perhaps your weight gain could be due to pregnancy. If you believe you may be pregnant you will slowly gain weight. If you are very early in your pregnancy a weight gain should show up too drastically but it is something to consider.
Some signs of pregnancy could even be spotting which could be mistaken for a menstrual cycle so you may want to see a doctor if you have gained unexpected weight two to three months after your wedding.
