Preventing and Treating Cleavage Wrinkles

Yes, you can and may have wrinkles forming on many parts of your body. No, you don't want wrinkles anywhere. Yet, you definitely don't want to see them in special places such as your cleavage area.

Why do wrinkles form in the cleavage area? Yes, the sun and the UV rays is the number one reason for these wrinkles. Think about it. We forget to apply sunscreen or we don't apply the right amounts of it everywhere on our body. Then the sun beats down on us. Many times we wear pretty low cut blouses, tops, and tank tops. Our cleavage area is exposed. The sun's rays hit this area. Over time these UV rays damage the skin just as it can any area of our body and wrinkles begin to form.

Yet, this is only one reason wrinkles form. Another main reason for cleavage wrinkles is the fact that many women enjoy sleeping on their sides. When they do this their breasts begin to rub together as they sleep. This friction can cause damage to the delicate skin area and over time wrinkles can form.

Of course, age is another factor in cleavage wrinkles. Age causes wrinkles to form on the skin of our body and on many areas of our body.

These cleavage wrinkles will usually begin to start forming around the age of 40. Yet, there are ways to stop and slow down their progression.

  1. Wear sunscreen when you go outside. Make sure it is a sunscreen of at least 30 SPF and make sure you apply it to your cleavage area. On really sunny days, you can also try to cover up your cleavage area, too.
