Comedies
Better With You: Boasting familiar TV faces you know, this show is about three couples in one family (parents and two daughters), all with differing views of relationships. One daughter has been in a committed relationship for 9 years (but not married and no kids), one daughter has been dating for 7 weeks and decides to get married and have a baby, and their parents, who suddenly take a "carpe diem" philosophy to life. Stars Joanna Garcia (Reba), Debra Jo Rupp (That 70's Show), and Kurt Fuller.
Dramas
My Generation: A documentary-style look at the lives of a group of 20-somethings ten years after graduating from high school. Sounds exciting, doesn't it? Yet another look at the "quarter-life" crisis of disillusioned people who realize that life isn't what you think it will be like after leaving high school.
No Ordinary Family: One of the more hyped new shows of the ABC fall lineup, this show sounds like NBC's canceled Heroes, only all the superheroes are in one family. Starring Michael Chiklis (The Shield, Fantastic Four) and Julie Benz (Dexter, Angel), this show covers one family's adventures as they discover new super powers and still try to relate as a family.
Detroit 1-8-7: This show seems to have undergone some changes, but basically it's a documentary-style look at Detroit's homicide unit. Stars Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos). The mockumentary style may have worked for comedies like The Office and Modern Family, but a cop show? Time will tell.
Body of Proof: ABC has long been trying to find its own stable of cop and medical procedurals, and it may have finally found one combining the two with this show, featuring Dana Delany (Desperate Housewives, China Beach) as Dr. Megan Hunt, a neurosurgeon turned medical examiner who investigates the deaths of the people that end up on her table. Also stars Jeri Ryan (Star Trek: Voyager).
The Whole Truth: A legal drama looking at how both the defense and prosecution tackle one case. Stars Rob Morrow (Numb3rs) and Maura Tierney (ER).
Reality
Secret Millionaire: A look at millionaires who leave behind their lifestyles for one week to go undercover and live, work and volunteer in some of the most impoverished and dangerous communities in America. Sounds like ABC's attempt at copying the success of CBS's "Undercover Boss."
