Festival to Rock the Baltimore-Washington Area May 13 and May 14, 2011
Friday Preview
Black Mambooza kicks off the festival Friday evening and are scheduled to take the stage at 6:15 . They are a relatively new hard rocking band from Los Angeles . Jetboy follows at 7PM. Jetboy is a true 80's band making noise today. A new song is featured in the movie "How Do You Know." L.A. Guns are scheduled for 7:40 with their hits "Bricks," "One More Reason" and more. Warrant is scheduled to go on at 8:25 . The band is best know for "Cherry Pie" but had other hits like "Down Boys" and "Sometimes She Cries." Kix closes out the first night scheduled to take the stage at 9:30PM . Kix has Maryland roots but made a name for themselves with hits like "Don't Close Your Eyes," "Girl Money," and "Blow My Fuse."
Saturday Preview
Saturday features two stages of music. Modern Superstar made up former Bullet Boy drummer and a frontman from Britny Fox who got together with a band to release a dynamite record. The second stage will start at 11:50 with Korupt, Pretty Boy Floyd, Hurtsmile, Black N' Blue, Faster Pussycat, Big Noise and Lita Ford. There are some pretty big names on the small stage. Lita Ford is known for hits "Kiss Me Deadly" and "Don't Close Your Eyes" (with Ozzy Osbourne).
The main stage will start with Modern Superstar followed by Danger Danger, Firehouse, Slaughter, Great White, Mr. Big, Sebastian Bach, Tesla and Whitesnake. Firehouse had hits such as "Don't Treat Me Bad," "Love of a Lifetime," and "When I Look into Your Eyes." Slaughter is best remembered for "Up All Night" and "Fly to the Angels." Great White had singles such as "Stick It" and "Once Bitten Twice Shy." Sebastian Bach is best known for being the front man for Skid Row. Skid Row had many classic songs such as "I Remember You," "Youth Gone Wild," "18 and Life to Go," and more. Tesla best known for their cover of "Signs" and their monster hit "love Song." Whitesnake closes out the festival and is the headliner. Whitesnake has a ton of hits such as "In the Still of the Night," "Here I go Again," "Fool for Your Loving," "Is this Love" and more.
Tickets
Tickets are available from Ticketfly.com. Two day lawn tickets are available for $50 ($64 with service fees). Pavilion seats are available for Friday $35 ($46 with service charges). Saturday the best available appears to be lawn seats for $35($46 with service fees). Sounds like a fun weekend if you can get tickets.
