Comedies:
Outsourced: I'm not sure about the timing of this comedy in this economy, but this show follows an American manager who is relocated to the call center of his company in India.
Dramas:
Undercovers: JJ Abrams returns to Alias territory in this spy drama, only the spies in this drama are married. This show has great buzz, and considering the pedigree, it's definitely worth a look.
The Event: Either you're really intrigued by the commercials or you're really annoyed by them. I'm going for the former with this new conspiracy thriller that follows an average Joe as he investigates the disappearance of his fiancé, only to stumble upon the biggest cover-up in U.S. history. Starring Jason Ritter (Joan of Arcadia), Blair Underwood, and Laura Innes (ER).
Chase: This action drama follows a group of U.S. marshals as they chase criminals. Sounds kind of like Karen Sisco on ABC a couple of years back, but this drama comes from Jerry Bruckheimer, the executive producer of all the CSI's as well as movies like Pirates of the Caribbean.
Law & Order: Los Angeles: So NBC decided not to make history and renew the original flagship Law & Order for a record-breaking 21st season, but decided to make a new Law & Order based in Los Angeles. Same formula, different location. Is a change in location really going to make it more enticing? Stars Skeet Ulrich and Alfred Molina.
Outlaw: This legal drama stars Jimmy Smits (NYPD Blue, LA Law, The West Wing) as a Supreme Court justice who steps down from his position to make a more personal change in the justice system and help the little guy.
Reality:
School Pride: This show, executive produced by Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm) seems to be like Extreme Makeover: School Edition where groups of volunteers make over a school to give the kids a reason to be proud of their school.
