Preview and Prediction for the Packers-Steelers Super Bowl

Pittsburgh Will Beat Green Bay 28 to 24 in the Super Bowl

Randy Inman
Here is my review and prediction for Super Bowl XLV between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers in Dallas. In my Super Bowl prediction I will explain why the Pittsburgh Steelers will beat the Green Bay Packers in the Big Game.

My review of the Steelers Packers Super Bowl should let you know I am a fan of neither team but am pulling for the Packers. I just don't think Green Bay can beat Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl. The Steelers have too much experience in big games including Super Bowls. Green Bay had an easy run in the playoffs compared to the teams the Packers faced. I do commend the fact that Green Bay overcame a slew of injuries to reach the Super Bowl.

At least the high flying passing attack of the Packers do give them a chance in the Super Bowl as it will be in warm weather in Dallas. But the Packers are already in meltdown mode as there is lots of team infighting over a Super Bowl team picture. Some of the injured reserve players had left Green Bay and were not working out with the team. But they wanted to be included in the team picture and all the festivities involved in Super Bowl week. Aaron Rogers mouthed off that they should have stayed with the team all year. And Rogers is right about that, but he should be worrying about the Super Bowl and not what some leeches are trying to suck out of his team.

Pittsburgh has a great defense and a balanced offense that can pass or run unlike the Packers. If the Steelers slow down Aaron Rogers and the Packers passing attack, then Green Bay won't be able to run the ball. Pittsburgh really seems like a running team but Ben Roethlisberger can sling the ball all over the field with success. Then there is the fact that Pittsburgh has been aided in at least two Super Bowls by the officials. The one over the Seahawks was handed to the Steelers by the officials and one of the Cowboys Super Bowls in the 70's went the same way.

I know Steeler Nation will now rise by the thousands and call me names. Well grow up and look at the facts, and knowledgeable fans will know I am telling the truth. I am NOT a Steeler hater, but I do know officials help the Steelers in big games.

My Super Bowl prediction is that the Steelers win 28 to 24 because they will slow Rogers enough to win the game. Interesting to me is that the Packers 3-4 defense ran by Capers is similar to the Steelers defense, which may help both offenses prepare for it.

You are a brave brave man Mr. Inman. Yet, and I appollogize, the Green Bay Packers will be victorious.

You're probably right, but Clay Matthews is my favorite defensive player so I'll be rooting for the Packers.

I think it will be close too. I really don't care who wins so I am not going out on a limb to pick a winner. Nice article.

It should be a good game.

I took the Packers in the nailbiter as well, but the Steelers are obviously good enough to win this game. I just think that the Steelers' secondary doesn't have the coverage depth to keep up with Aaron Rodgers and his weapons. My X-Factor is Jordy Nelson. He didn't get many targets this year, but he did have the 2nd highest catch rate in the NFL. He can have a big game against Pittsburgh, but he just needs the targets.

Sorry, but the Packers are going to wipe the floor with the Steelers!! Of course, it won't be the same without the greatest player they even had.
