Preview of Six 2010 Movies You'll Want to See

2010 Movies You Don't Want to Miss

Wendy Dawn
In 2010, Hollywood is banking on sequels, epic tales, and nostalgia. I have little doubt that the most anticipated movie of 2010 will be the Twilight sequel Eclipse. For movie lovers who aren't fans of the vampire genre there is an eclectic mix of storytelling and action adventure.

Off the trailers and movie information released to date, the following six movies are on my must-see list for 2010 movies.

2010 Movies You Will Want to See: Alice in Wonderland - IMAX and 3D
They hype began once word was out that Disney and Tim Burton were collaborating on a new version of Alice in Wonderland. Some fans wait with excitement, while others can't wait to see how creepy and eerie Burton, along with actors Johnny Depp (The Mad Hatter), Anne Hathaway (White Queen), Helen Bonham Carter (Red Queen), and Mia Wasikowska as Alice.

Do not expect the classic tale you've known since childhood. Wonderland has become a dark place since Alice's visit. The Red Queen rules with a fist of iron, and Alice's visit touches off a war unlike anything seen in Wonderland before.

Alice in Wonderland opens March 5, 2010.

2010 Movies You Will Want to See: The Twilight Saga Eclipse
I'm sure fans will soon be lining up for the June 3oth release of the third movie in the Twilight saga.

A killer is loose in Seattle; a viscous vampire named Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) arrives to wreak havoc and revenge. Bella's (Kristen Stewart) life is at stake when Victoria comes after her. Fearing for her life and facing a decision between Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Jacob (Taylor Lautner) brings Bella to the brink of her most important life decisions. Choosing a romance with Edward or a friendship with Jacob has the potential to set off the ageless battle between vampire and werewolf.

Look for another rush to the box office when the Eclipse hits theaters.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens June 30, 2010. Eclipse will also be released in IMAX.

2010 Movies You Will Want to See: Iron Man 2
Iron Man established peace, but when it comes to mankind, does peace ever last? Iron Man is back in Iron Man 2. Colonel James Rhodes joins Tony Stark to bring the fight to America and Iron Man's new enemies Whiplash and Black Widow.

Fantastic sci-fi adventure and action make Iron Man 2 a stunning fun, filled adventure movie.

Iron Man 2 premiers May 7, 2010.

2010 Movies You Will Want to See: Clash of the Titans
Who can resist an epic story from the world of mythology? Clash of the Titans brings characters bigger than life to the movie theater in a convincing, exciting movie. Perseus (Sam Worthington), son of Zeus, sets out on a heroic voyage to free princes Andromeda (Alexa Davalos). The epic is grand, bringing mythological creatures to life and drawing on heroism and courage.

This grand remake of Clash of the Titans will be in theaters March 26, 2010.

2010 Movies You Will Want to See: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a predictable hit as Harry Potter fans flock to the movies to see the final chapter in the Harry Potter saga. Harry, Ron, and Hermione embark on a quest to defeat Lord Voldemort, but, willing to milk every dollar they can from the Harry Potter series fans will be left with a cliff hanger. Part 2 of the film will not be released until spring 2011.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will be released November 19, 2010

2010 Movies You Will Want to See: Salt
Angelina Jolie is Salt. Is she a Russian double agent or is she being framed? One thing movie-goers know for sure is that Salt is running for her life and the entire U.S. government is after her. Salt brings action and adventure just as you have come to expect from Angelina Jolie, only this time she is on the lamb. Salt is sure to be a summer hit in 2010.

Salt premiers in a movie theater near you July 23, 2010.

Thanks. Putting them on my mental list. All except twilight. Getting really sick of the whole guy who bites your neck and turns you into the undead is a sexy man thing. No thanks, I like my men easy to cozy up to and somewhat squishy. LOL
