Previewing Pleasure Island's New Year's Eve Celebration, 2007

Looking for a high-energy place to spend New Year's Eve this year? Look no further than Disney's Pleasure Island. Partygoers 21 and over will enjoy six hours of nonstop fun, including live music and comedy acts, dancing, champagne, fireworks and delicious food. Pleasure Island is an entertainment district located at Downtown Disney. The area is packed full of clubs, restaurants, and shops and is the ideal place to visit on New Year's Eve.

The party at Pleasure Island will take place from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. and will include a brilliant fireworks display following the countdown to midnight, complete with hats and noisemakers. A dinner buffet and champagne toast will help you ring in the new year. Admission is 99.00 dollars plus tax and includes entry to all seven of Pleasure Island's themed nightclubs.

The Adventurers Club is a 1930s explorers' club that is decorated with treasures and artifacts brought back from distant expeditions. A number of these artifacts magically come to life throughout the night, and club members tell their exciting tales of exploration while making their rounds throughout the club.

The Comedy Warehouse, where no two shows are ever the same, is a great place to have fun and laugh while waiting for the new year to arrive. Each show at The Comedy Warehouse is an improvisation involving audience participation.

8-Trax is a place every disco fan must visit, and is decorated straight out of the 1970s. The DJ plays only '70s music, while club goers get down under the disco ball.

Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant is located where the Pleasure Island Jazz Company used to be found. This pub features traditional Irish music and food, and is decorated with authentic Irish antiques and novelties.

The Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club combines three levels of entertainment with a massive dance floor, live bands, and a steady stream of classic rock hits from 8 p.m. until closing.

Mannequins Dance Palace opens at 9:00 p.m. and is the best spot around for techno and progressive beats. This dance club is award winning, and one of the favorite places to visit for club goers all around the country.

The BET Soundstage Club is a unique nightclub featuring the best in Reggae, Old School, and Hip-Hop music. The club usually opens at 9:00 pm and reaches capacity quickly.

Admission to all of the above clubs is unlimited and included in the ticket price for the New Year's Eve celebration at Pleasure Island. A large parking lot is available for use adjacent to the grounds. Parking is free, but there is no valet service available. Please arrive early if you hope to find a nearby parking spot.

Located near Pleasure Island, Cirque du Soleil is offering a special presentation of La Nouba for New Year's Eve, with two shows at 6:00p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Tickets should be purchased as far in advance as possible, as it is likely both shows will sell out.
