Prima Ballerina

Susan Elliott

Her dichromatic eyes scour the fields

tracing every petal, blade and leaf, as she

swiftly flits through tulip kissed fields.

Her movements are sporadic, yet graceful

like a winged Baronova.

Gently she glides, lighting onto a crimson petal.

It's there she opens her lapis and saffron wings

and steals my breath.

So beautiful! Through your writing, I could imagine that pretty butterly! Jojo just got to raise some in a kit he got for his birthday. They were painted lady butterflies and it was so awesome that we got to see them all fly up in to the sky 2 days after they hatched. :-)
