Prince William and Kate Middleton: Is Wills Finally Ready to Wed "Waitie Katie?"

After 8 years of dating, nuptials might finally be right around the corner for Britain's Prince William and his long time lady love, Kate Middleton.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have been seeing each other off and on for nearly a decade and according to more than one royal watcher, they are quite suited for her. For now, though, Prince William and the royal family are mum and as usual, any potential royal wedding is all still speculation.

It was approximately 4 years ago that Prince William and Kate Middleton called it quits on their love affair and many assumed they would both move on to others. However, it wasn't long before the Prince and his Princess hooked up again. This time, it appears, for keeps. If Prince William is taking any cues from his father, Prince Charles, he will likely keep the wedding details on the down low.

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla Bowles carried on a decades long love affair that, unfortunately, overlapped with the marriage of Prince Charles to Prince William's mother, Princess Diana. The world loved Princess Diana and had no small amount of scorn for Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles as they carried on their illicit love affair behind the scenes. After, Princess Diana's death in 1997, the Prince began to slowly introduce the Duchess to the public.

It seems to have worked since the people of Britain eventually warmed up to Camilla Parker Bowles and have accepted their marriage and her position in the royal household. Of course, Prince William's relationship with Kate Middleton is not mired in any type of unseemly scandal and should he in fact, marry her, it will most certainly be warmly received by the British public.

Prince William certainly has both feet on the ground as a young man and for that, Prince Charles can take much credit. He has been a very loyal and loving father to both Prince William and Prince Harry since the death of their mother and has done a remarkable job in training them to be right proper young men. Fortunately, from the looks of things with Kate Middleton she will fit in quite nicely as well.
