Prince William and Kate Middleton Engaged!

The Rumors Were Spot On!

Tuesday - November 16, 2011 - It was announced this morning that Prince William and Kate Middleton are officially engaged. Actually, they were engaged in October while they were on vacation. The rumors have been flying for months as to a possible marriage between the two. They surprised the media this morning with their announcement. There was little fan fair involved.

Prince William is heir to the thrown, after his father, Prince Philip. Prince Philip is said to be very happy over the engagement of his son Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Neither the exact date, nor the exact month for the wedding has been announced. It was stated it would be in spring or summer of 2011. Since you can hardly plan a regular wedding in a few months, yet alone a royal wedding, it is possible the planning of this wedding has been in the works for months already.

A royal wedding on the horizon takes us back in time. Thoughts go back to the amazing wedding between Prince Charles and Lady Diana. What a storybook wedding they had. The young Diana, beautiful as a princess, started life with stars in her eyes. The royal life took a toll on the marriage and on her life. Diana was the black sheep of the royals so to speak. Maybe that's why we all loved her so much. She didn't follow royal protocol; she was her own person more often than not. She smiled when necessary, but stuck her tongue out when she thought no one was looking!

What kind of marriage will there be between Prince William and Kate Middleton? They know each other very well at this point in time. They have been dating on and off for over 9 years.

I am sure we will be hearing lots more details as they unfold in the coming weeks and months. What will she wear? Where will they honeymoon? How big will the event be? Will it be televised? They are a beautiful couple and their wedding will be amazing I am sure.

Best wishes to Prince William and Kate Middleton.

I was a little girl when Prince Charles and Lady Di were married. It's exciting to think that I'll live through TWO generations of royal marriages.

BTW, it is Prince Charles, not Phillip, who married Pricess Diana, and is William's father.

Glad to see you publishing. No notices are coming out notifying when people publish.

Isn't Prince Charles the father of Prince William?
