Your little darling can have the best princess birthday party ever. There are so many princess items out there that you can buy in stores or online, and through catalogs. If you are at all crafty you can make many of the princess decorations yourself.
Below are some suggestions for princess party games and some crafts that go along well with the princess party theme. Most are just variations of traditional party games changed to fit the princess party theme.
Party Games
Princess Pea Guessing Game: Decorate a jar with lace and bows then fill the jar up with dried peas. Have the girls guess how many peas they think there might be in the jar. You can have a small prize to give away to the winning guesser.
Dancing Princesses: Little princesses love to dance so give them about 10 minutes to dance to some Disney Princess songs, Barbie soundtracks, classical music or other favorite music of the birthday girls choice.
Musical Thrones: Decorate your dining table chairs with fabric and ribbons to look like royal thrones. You will need one less chair than you have girls. Have the Princesses sit around them and begin the music, when you stop the music they all try to find a chair. Keep removing chairs until you have one left and the winner gets to be crowned on the royal throne.
Pin The Tiara On The Princess: Cut out a picture from a coloring book, or get a princess poster, then cut out some small paper tiaras that your guests can stick on the picture. You can blind-fold the girls with a fancy scarf and let them pin the tiara on the princess picture.
Princess Craft Ideas
Princess Crown Activity: Decorating a princess crown is a fun craft activity for young girls. Cut a bunch of crowns out of construction paper. Provide the kids with glue, glitter, beads and plastic jewels. Let them wear their own creations to the princess ball!
Princess Jewels: Give each of the girls some ribbon or beading string and some plastic pony beads. Let them create their own necklace or bracelet.
Make a Princess Picture Frame: Decorate foam craft picture frames (from craft store) with glitter glue and jewels. Use a Polaroid or digital camera to take pictures when the girls are all dressed up and wearing their tiaras. Then each girl will have her own picture and frame to take home.
Magic Wands: Purchase a doweling rod for each child, you might have to cut them in half. Make or purchase stars to attach to the top of each wand. Place two stars back sides together at the top of the wand. Let the children decorate the magic wands with foil, paint, stickers, jewels, and ribbons.
