Princess Celia and the Beggar

Once upon a time in a distant land lived a kingdom that was ruled by Princess Celia. The high council was against this idea because she was yet only a princess therefore she shall get married to a prince in order to officially rule the kingdom. She was very beautiful and wanted to become an independent ruler but the laws had to apply. Many young princes came from all over the world to see if Princess Celia would take their hand in marriage. About twenty had come by and was all denied. One day the high priest came to her and said that she will have to get married and until that day her sister in law will rule. Princess Celia didn't want that because her sister in law was the meanest of them all. She was selfish, greedy, and mean. She would take from the poor and keep for herself. Princess Celia didn't like the idea or liked even the thought of it so she agreed to marry. She created a test and whoever will pass it, she would marry with no complaint.

Many months went by and no one had figured out how to solve her test. One day a beggar came by to try it out. Everyone laughed at him and the guards tried to kick him out but Princess Celia decided she'll give everyone a chance even the poorest of them all. Princess Celia told him to look into her eyes and tell her what he sees. He looked hard then he looked at her and said "I see a young little girl who is scared and alone. A girl who needs the warmth of a lover and the protection of a warrior. Always confused and listens to her heart. A mother, daughter, sister, ruler, lover. Someone special." She looked at him then turned away. Princess Celia was speechless. Then tears suddenly ran down her cheeks and she spun back around and hugged the poor beggar. She then said "This is your new King and our wedding shall be tomorrow." He then went down and whispered in her ear "I'll love you and cherish you. No matter what happens... you are the only one who could ever complete me."

And that was exactly what he did until the day they died. Their story went to live on for generations and was an inspiration to all that it didn't matter if you were rich or poor but the kind of person you are inside.
