This 44-pound cat might be getting a lot of publicity now but it could be harmful to her in the long run. Being an over weight cat can have some of the same health problems as an overweight adult would. Overweight cats can run into a lot of health problems and are known to not live as long as other cats that are at the right weight. There are many ways to tell if your cat is fat and there are a lot of programs that you can use to keep you cat from ending up like this 44-pound cat.
The fat cat test
There is a way to tell if your cat should be put on a weight reduction plan. Petreduction.com recommends that you run your hand down the cat's side, if you can't feel the cat's ribs then it may be time for you to start a weight reduction plan. Petreduction.com also recommends that you look to see if your cat has a waist and if not then you should start your overweight cat on a weight reduction diet. Keep in mind that if you don't do a regular test on your cat and they end up like the 44-pound cat they could suffer a lot of health problems that will cost you a lot of money and maybe even your good little friend's life.
Veterinarian examination for your cat
A cat should have regular check-ups and more if the veterinarian recommends this. A cat's check-up will consist of a few test that are ran on a cat to determine the cats health and shots if the cat needs them. Veterinarian check-ups are highly recommended since cats can not tell you when they are hurt, feeling sick, or when they have a health problem that is silent. A veterinarian does not recommend that you allow a cat to gain as much weight as the 44-pound cat even if you are trying to break the Guinness World Record for fat cats.
Weight management programs for cats
The 44-pound cat should be on a weight management program to help it lose weight and become healthier. There are weight management programs for cats everywhere and a veterinarian can tell you the best overall weight management programs for your cat. Some of the weight management programs consist of what to feed your cat, how to get your cat to exercise, and what you should do at home to help your cat.
Help your cat to become healthy so that it can live a longer life and be healthier. A cat can be a great friend to cuddle with and it has been said that they make a company and help people who are depressed or alone. A cat can't speak and this is why it is important to get their regular animal check-ups.

Post a CommentI didn't read the whole thing because I am a cat lover and don't want to hear about how much it needs help but I agree Stephen Jottin
I thought a 20 pound cat was big! Great reporting!
Wow, now that's some big cat! Hope she finds a good home.
Poor cat! I can't understand how it can even walk. Maybe we can start a fund raising website to get it bariatric surgery.
