The town holds an annual Onion Festival every spring. This is a lot of fun for the whole family, with games and auto shows plus much more. This is to remember the local onion farmers who for so long have called Princeton their home.
One of the main attractions is the old WWII POW Camp that has been made into a park complete with baseball fields and outdoor playgrounds. Park benches and covered areas with barbeque pits make it an excellent place to hold parties or just a family gathering.
Affordable housing is also available. Princeton has several well established neighborhoods as well as newer developments. There is something in every price range. You an chose suburban style living or in other areas owning your own piece of heaven with the vast acreage that lies beyond the city limits. Farms and Ranches line the area off of FM 982. There is something for everyone.
Shopping and entertainment is just minutes away in McKinney, Texas. A straight shot down State Hwy 380 connects you to every store you can imagine. McKinney has a wonderful historic downtown area that holds many cute shop's filled with antiques and crafts. This also holds the original Collin County Court House that has been fully restored and is available for parties.
So if hometown appeal is what you're after, you can't go wrong with Princeton.
