Principal Arrested for Selling Meth

He Sold it Out of the School and was Using it Too

Jimmy Smith
In Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, a middle school principal, John Acerra, was arrested for using and selling the drug methamphetamine on school grounds. Police found the drug and a burnt glass pipe on his desk. It is unclear whether he was selling to students, however he did sell the drugs out of his office at the school after hours and weekends.

Mr.Acerra is a 50 year old man, he has absolutely no business using drugs let alone selling them out of a school. The town residents, members of the faculty and the children must all be shocked to hear of this terrible news. The simple fact that he sold drugs out of the school and most likely used the drug in his office is completely ridiculous, what was this man even thinking?

It is not everyday a story like this one breaks, a middle school principal, using and selling drugs out of his office is completely mind boggling. A school principal is a position that is entrusted to someone, someone who won't abuse the title and power that comes with it, and this man is selling drugs out of the school and smoking meth.

Imagine, a kid comes into the office for some disciplinary reason and the principal is high on meth. I can easily imagine this principal going off on rages and completely berating the kid for throwing a spit ball or talking in class, while this guy is high on meth himself. Just imagine, everything that principal ever told these kids is completely meaningless now, they know he is a drug addict. Those 950 kids may never look at authority figures the same ever again. Those parents may never trust the administration the same way ever again, all because of one bad apple.

Meth is a horrible drug, it is one of the worst there is. Smoking it makes the user disillusioned and it is highly addictive, it also poses a lot of health risk, such as heart attacks and strokes. I'm surprised nobody ever suspected he was high on drugs or brought it to someones attention. Imagine if this principal was selling it to twelve and thirteen year old kids, that would make the story even worse, and we just may find out soon that he was. They may have just not come forward yet.

It just proves that drug addicts can be anyone, from school principals to movie stars, drugs don't discriminate on the people they hook. Everybody and everyone needs to be looked at, especially those in important positions such as school principals.
