Coloring with good old fashioned crayons or markers is a fun activity, especially when a holiday is involved! Whether you're the parent or teacher of a preschooler or a mid-elementary aged child, there are free online resources available that will satisfy your need for printable Halloween coloring pages. While some sites concentrate on providing simple designs suitable for even the very youngest of children, others offer up intricate pages that will keep even your sixth grader occupied. Check out the evaluation below to choose the site that will best meet your desire for printable Halloween coloring pages.

Land-o-Lakes Halloween Family Activites

Land-o-Lakes, maker of baking products, offers up six different printable Halloween page designs for your older children to enjoy. All pages are readable in Adobe Acrobat and print on a standard sheet of paper; if you don't have an Adobe reader, you'll want to skip this one. It's a unique option since the pages are offered by a well-known business rather than a crafting website.

RaisingOurKids.com
http://www.raisingourkids.com/hol/halloween/coloring/index.html
RaisingOurKids.com offers a huge array of Halloween-themed activity ideas in addition to printable Halloween coloring pages, so be sure to peruse them all for some great seasonal ideas! They offer 62 different printable coloring pages that are both traditional and unique. Traditional designs include ghosts, candy corn, and a cat with an arched back, while some of the more unique pages include a cat playing a bass, an alien and a scary tree. In addition, there are two 'make your own' options - one for a ghost, and the other a haunted house. These two designs are simple outlines, and allow children to creatively color them as they choose. These printable Halloween coloring pages are a bit trickier to print than some of the others, since there's no automatic prompt that appears when the pages are viewed, but you can print them by visiting your computer's menu and manually making the request.

Funschool

Funschool's offerings include eight different printable Halloween coloring pages. There may only be eight, but they're very detailed and include a haunted house and an organ. These are definitely better suited to older children rather than preschoolers, since the drawings are significantly more complicated than the basic ones offered by some of the other sites referenced. Note that these pages are PDF files, so you'll need a PDF reader in order to print them.

Coloring Book Fun
http://coloringbookfun.com/halloween/
Coloring Book Fun offers up 31 printable Halloween coloring designs. The designs range from a simple ghost to a more detailed haunted house, so any child could color pages from this site's collection. To print, simply choose an image and click on it, and then manually command your computer to process the print request.
