Printable Valentine Cards, Blue Mountain Cards and Chocolate Covered Strawberries Recipe
Last Minute Valentine's Day Gift Ideas
Printable Valentine cards are faster and easier than running to the store. If you have paper and a printer, you're ready to go. One of my favorite sites for customized cards for Valentine's Day and other occasions is DTLK Kids. This site features an array of cards suitable for kids of all ages along with Valentine's Day coloring pages.
Another site where you can find a variety of printable Valentine cards is 123Cards where you can printable cards and envelopes. You will also find a fun selection of Valentine's Day worksheets, coloring pages, certificates and printable items for teachers.
Blue Mountain Arts, Inc. also offers a free trial so you can get artistic and heartwarming printable Valentine cards in just minutes. With headquarters in Colorado, Blue Mountain Arts was incorporated in 1972. In the 1990s, Blue Mountain Arts were originators of the free ecard. Today this creative and innovative company offers over 1,000 card designs deliverable through email from their website at www.bluemountainarts.com.
Sending ecards is also a good idea for those who are environmentally conscious. A green loved one will appreciate the fact you sent an electronic card rather than a printed one.
Another popular company offering printable Valentine cards is American Greetings. Several selections are free so you can get a classy card for that special someone even if you're broke.
Presenting the card without a gift seems like half an effort. If you have strawberries and chocolate in the house, you can make a sweet gift for your Valentine sweetheart.
The easiest chocolate covered strawberries recipe uses frozen strawberries and Hershey's hard shell. If you keep it around the house to pour over ice cream, you know how easy it is to use on frozen items. Simply pour some hard shell in a dish, dip the strawberries and enjoy!
If you don't hard hard shell chocolate, you might have some chocolate bars around the house. Microwave the chocolate for about 60 seconds on high, stir, then heat another 10 seconds. Make sure to use clean, dry strawberries, preferably with a stem. Dip the strawberries in chocolate and place them on waxed paper to cool.
For those who do not like to use a microwave, Paula Deen has an excellent suggestion. Place chunks of chocolate in heatproof bowls. Fill a medium saucepan with a couple of inches of water. Simmer on medium until it steams. Turn off the heat and set the bowls of chocolate over the water to melt, stirring as they soften.
Now that you have a printable Valentine card and an easy chocolate covered strawberries recipe, you're ready to show the love. Search around the house for champagne, sparkling wine or a bottle of wine and get ready for romance.
